Shannon Aerospace Data Transfer Service enables customers to receive real time information on the progress of their aircraft layover. This includes information regarding component changes, defects and materials movements which can then be reviewed by Technical Directors as if the aircraft were in the customer’s own hangar.

Each solution is customised in line with customer requirements so that the information required is identified and the procedure to extract that information from our SAP R3 legacy system is established. In the case of our customer, SAS, data relating to component movement and defects raised during a maintenance visit is exported from our SAP R3 legacy system and transmitted automaticlly to an in-house server which allows SAS back at home base to view this information as it happens in real time and is up to date prior to the aicraft's return to service.
